Why lunges are sometimes better than squats First of all squats are an amazing lower body and almost a full body exercise when adding weights. But squats are also something that requires preparation. To get the right squatting technic, you must have enough hips and ankle flexibility. Second thing is squat are a 2 legs exercise. Meaning that if you’re not proper balance, you’ll be moving your weight over your stronger leg… so you will increase the strength gap between the two. Finally this particularly exercise is creating a contraction of the hip flexors, so instead of the lunges that also works your lower body AND stretches you hips, squat doesn’t. So because I’m aware that time is money and I wanna kept my training routine under 60 minutes.
